A village remembered

Small building.
Big history.

Ditton Heritage Centre brings together photographs, documents and artefacts donated by residents, families and local organisations. Together they form a living record of Ditton and the surrounding area.

Displays change throughout the year, giving visitors fresh reasons to return and new ways to connect personal memories with the wider story of the village.

Community, commitment & living history

Saved by the community

A historic home
with a new purpose.

Local residents searched for more than twenty years for a permanent home for Ditton's heritage. The former Victorian school building offered the ideal setting, but required determined fundraising and careful restoration.

With grants, community support and countless volunteer hours, the building was made weatherproof, restored and opened as a place where local history could be protected, studied and shared.
